This morning we were learning all about place value. We looked at single, 2-digit and 3-digit numbers before having a go at using the place value cards to make different numbers. Each card had a thumbprint on the bottom right corner so we knew where to place the cards. We found out that the highest hundreds place value card was 900, the highest tens place value card was 90 and the highest unit place value card was 9! We are becoming very good at spotting patterns in our number work!! If you would like a set of place value cards to have at home, there are templates that can be printed out from http://www.senteacher.org/worksheet/49/PlaceValueArrowCards.html and there are games using place value on http://www.topmarks.co.uk/place-value/place-value-charts
