Giving instructions

Today we were given a variety of different challenges that all involved giving instructions. We gave instructions to make a jam sandwich, print a picture on the computer, draw a picture and ordered a set of instructions. We also listened carefully to instructions given to us by our partner and walked around the classroom blindfolded!!

Sorting materials

Working as a group we had a go at sorting the different objects according to their different properties. Some of us had the idea of sorting the objects into solid, liquid and gasses. We also discovered that some of the objects were reversible when heated and some were irreversible. Grwp Melyn had the brilliant idea of sorting the objects into a Venn diagram!

Evaluating chocolate wrappers 🍫

We looked at a variety of different chocolate packaging and recorded gave each chocolate wrapper a score out of 10.

Making hot chocolate!

Today we gave instructions to our partner and explained how to make a hot chocolate just the way we like it! We made sure we used lots of bossy verbs such as get, pour and mix and some of us even remembered to use adverbs of time and manner!!
