Finding out about the body-from real experts!

We were so lucky to have two visitors to our school this week! First we had Maddie's mum who came to talk to us about the different organs inside our body. We found out all about the heart and how our lungs work. We then had a visit from Jack's dad and his friend! We discovered how x-rays work and had a look at some facinating real life x-rays. The children had a brilliant time finding out lots of great facts from the real experts-a massive thank you to you both!!

Our new topic!

We have had a brilliant start to our new topic 'Monster Mayhem'. Working in groups, we shared lots of ideas and information about the human body that we already knew. Then using our skimming skills, we found out more information about the main organs in the human body by searching the Internet. We also discovered a variety of great facts using our non-fiction books from our school library.
